Sports and Pupil Premium

PE and Sport Grant

This funding has been allocated to schools to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport for primary-aged pupils, so that they develop healthy lifestyles.

Our PE and Sports Premium strategy will be published in January 2023.

Due to Highwood Copse becoming a new school and joining the Thames Learning Trust in July 2023, there is currently no impact of previous year expenditure (2021-2022).

Pupil Premium Funding

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of eligible pupils, and close the gap between them and their peers.

Pupil premium funding is available to both mainstream and non-mainstream schools, such as special schools and pupil referral units.

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility. However, schools are to be held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support eligible pupils.

Our Pupil Premium strategy will be published in January 2023.

Due to Highwood Copse becoming a new school and joining the Thames Learning Trust in July 2023, there is currently no impact of previous year expenditure (2021-2022).
