Class Teacher

We are looking for an exceptional part time Class Teacher (0.2) specialising in either Science/Computing/Art to join our team at Highwood Copse Primary School. 

The successful candidate for this post will demonstrate high expectations of learning with the ability to challenge students of different abilities. You will be an outstanding classroom teacher specialising in Science or Computing with successful evidence of teaching who can effectively communicate with parents and carers. You will be enthusiastic with a can do attitude with good organisational skills, flexibility and able to meet deadlines.

Teaching Assistants

Teaching Assistants – FT and PT 

Term Time Only, plus inset days

30 Hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am until 3.15pm Grade B point 2 £15,215 (actual salary) 

Term Time Only, plus inset days 

20 Hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am until 1pm, Grade B point 2 £10,143 (actual salary)

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for someone who has experience in supporting children in and out of the classroom under guidance from the SENCO and teaching staff. This position will be to effectively support teachers in class and have the ability to deliver interventions as directed in line with the needs of the students. 

You will be required to have:

  • Experience of working with children in a similar setting
  • Confident in both literacy, numeracy skills with excellent communication and listening skills
  • A willingness to learn new things and an open mind with children best interest at heart
