Highwood Copse Primary School will provide the best academic, creative, spiritual, moral and emotional education possible, striving for excellence in all that we do.
Our school is a place where the children are central to every decision we make. We will ensure our children are safe and successful; they will grow during their time with us to be ambitious and resilient. We are proud that our children are learning to be courageously outspoken, but behave with integrity. The staff and school will be highly effective, well-organised, efficient, and well-resourced. We will provide an exciting and stimulating learning environment and our talented, well-informed teachers will inspire and motivate children, encouraging scholarship, intellectual curiosity, independent thought and effective learning habits. Children will be encouraged to celebrate Britain as a diverse society, have an understanding of social justice, fight against discrimination, provide service for others, and show respectful and well-informed views about their own community and the wider world.

Monday 23 September 2024 Communicating with the school We are looking to streamline our communications with you. We would like to take this opportunity to direct you to using our SIMS parent inbox. The email address to use for all communications with the school for parents is 8692002@sims-communications.co.uk. This inbox is monitored daily by Mrs Goldsbrough. In her absence, this will be monitored by Mrs Smith and we aspire to respond to you as quickly as we can. We ask kindly that you please refrain from using our admin@highwoodcopse.co.uk email address for parental communications as this inbox is not monitored as often and can lead to confusion when our school communications are not all in one place. Mrs Smith uses the admin@highwoodcopse.co.uk email address for external contractors and suppliers and this works best when it is kept separate from parental communications. When the sims-communications email is used we can also log any communications sent and received to your child's SIMS database record.Thank you for your understanding in t

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to come and spend time with our children in class. It was a great experience and lovely to see the class enjoying their maths lesson so much (and listening so beautifully to Miss Newman’s instructions)!”

“I've been meaning to write to say a big thank you to you and the other teachers. Zoe is loving school. Zoe also told me that you did an assembly on Rosa Parks last week. This is brilliant, I am really happy you are teaching a diverse history, it obviously left an impression on Zoe, she was talking about that period quite passionately."
